We're seeking views on the outlook of the biomethane industry and whether costs and revenues for biomethane plants have changed over the past year.

Call for evidence description

This call for evidence will inform the Green Gas Support Scheme’s annual tariff review 2024.

The purpose of the call is to:

  • provide evidence for the re-running of the tariff-setting process
  • gather insight into the effectiveness of the scheme and its current tariff levels

The review, which we will publish by 1 September 2024, can increase, decrease or hold tariffs, and ensures that they deliver benefits while maintaining value for money.

The call is open to anyone, but we would welcome responses in particular from:

  • the biomethane industry
  • investors
  • trade associations
  • supply chain
