Call for evidence description

This call for evidence aims to seek views about pricing practices in the live events sector and whether the current legal framework provides sufficient protection for consumers.

We encourage all interested stakeholders to respond including:

  • fans
  • ticketing platforms
  • the wider live events sector

This call for evidence has been prepared by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS).

Putting fans first: consultation

We are simultaneously running a consultation on strengthening consumer protections in relation to ticket resales.

We encourage respondents to review both the consultation and the call for evidence in tandem and respond to both.
