Call for evidence description
This Call for Evidence is intended to gather up-to-date information to support the Lord Chancellor as part of the statutory review of the whiplash tariff, introduced on 31 May 2021.
The review will assess the whiplash tariff and its component parts, and wider economic, sectorial and other changes since its introduction.
In addition to changes related to the personal injury claims sector, it will explore economic factors, such as changes to inflation, and whether there are any additional, broader factors that should be taken into account as part of the review.
All submissions and evidence provided will be considered as part of the statutory review of the whiplash tariff to assist the Lord Chancellor, who is required to review the tariff and lay a report on its findings in parliament no later than 31 May 2024.
The Call for Evidence is aimed at those with an interest in whiplash-related personal injury claims in England and Wales.
