£19.4 million levelling up investment for Arun
Arun will receive almost £20 million from the Levelling Up Fund. The money will be invested in two of the south coast’s favourite seaside towns: Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.
It will allow the council to:
- enhance the two resorts
- boost the local economy
Revitalising the Alexandra Theatre
The funds will improve the Alexandra Theatre on Bognor Regis seafront.
The development will:
- increase seating capacity
- create new facilities
- improve the façade
To improve services, the theatre will also have a fully accessible Changing Places toilet.
These improvements will:
- allow a broader range of events and exhibitions
- increase visitor numbers

The difference that this will make to the whole community is incredible. The improvement to facilities and the additional services we will be able to provide will have an impact for residents and visitors alike.
Transforming Littlehampton
In Littlehampton, £7 million will support the transformation of the seafront and riverside. The planned works include:
- a seafront social hub
- new shower and toilet facilities
- a promenade with a new performance space

Investment from the Levelling Up Fund will have a lasting impact by:
- attracting more overnight visitors
- enhancing visitor experience
- creating new tourism
