With the support of £250,000 from the Community Ownership Fund, locals in Leigh have taken ownership of the Grade II listed building. They aim to transform it into a hub at the heart of the community.

A community hub with a range of uses

With the funding, the group will restore the building so that it can continue to offer affordable space for:

  • arts and cultural providers

  • community organisations
  • over 65 businesses
  • educators

A boost for Leigh

The funding will:

  • help protect and develop this community asset
  • bring it into local ownership
  • ensure it can continue to serve the people of Leigh for years to come
