Agricultural productivity and competitiveness analyses
A series of reports looking at the productivity and competitiveness of the farming industry
This series includes published reports of analysis and research by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and external organisations. It includes both studies directly assessing competitiveness and also work examining factors (for example, farm structure, use of contractors) that may help to make farms more efficient. Many reports are based on data from the Farm Business Survey (FBS); more information can be found on the FBS webpage. The reports are grouped by topic.
