DECC sickness absence

This series brings together all documents relating to sickness absence in the DECC workforce.

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), in common with other departments, reports sickness absence on a rolling 12 month basis. This approach ensures that each data set includes seasonal peaks and troughs. The use of the Average Working Days Lost (AWDL) indicator enables a like-for-like comparison with other government departments and private sector organisations.

These data reports are published every three months.

Further information about sickness absence across the whole of the Civil Service is available on the Civil Service website.
