EFA regional framework
The Education Funding Agency (EFA) Regional Framework was launched in July 2014.
The Regional Framework is a 4 year framework for use by the EFA, academies, local authorities, dioceses and educational establishments. It is aimed at individual school projects, both new build and refurbishment, with capacity to deliver elemental works.
There are 6 regional lots. Each region has 7 appointed contractors, with the exception of London and South East region which has 8 contractors.
Framework characteristics
Individual school schemes use:
- new build projects
- extensions
- refurbishment and remodelling
- refurbishment works can include roof, window, boiler replacements, removal of asbestos
- scheme value range of between c£200,000 – c£12 million
- more than one scheme can be tendered together but
- value of the tender must not exceed c£12 million
- each scheme has its own contract
