Introduction
The Rt Hon Robert Jenrick MP laid the documents for the 2021 to 2022 local government finance settlement in the House of Commons and made the written ministerial statement on 4 February 2021. The final settlement debate and vote was held in the House of Commons on 10 February 2021.
This year has clearly been defined by the COVID-19 pandemic and the settlement should be seen alongside the Covid support we are providing local government.
The government also launched a consultation on the future of New Homes Bonus for 2022 to 2023 on 10 February 2021.
