GCA meetings with Code Compliance Officers
The Groceries Code Adjudicator is committed to being open about regular meetings held with retailers’ Code Compliance Officers.
The Groceries Code Adjudicator (GCA) meets with Code Compliance Officers (CCOs) on a regular basis, both individually and as a group. The GCA uses these meetings to inform retailers of issues of concern that have been brought to the attention of the Adjudicator by suppliers, representative bodies and others. CCOs are asked to give the issues raised their full consideration, and if necessary, review practices within their organisation and decide what if any action should be taken to ensure compliance with the Groceries Supply Code of Practice (the Code).
Raising awareness of Code-related issues is important for the GCA and helps to inform the GCA’s view about the nature, impact and scale of alleged practices by retailers which do not appear to be consistent with the Code.
