HPV vaccination programme
Documents relating to the universal human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination programme for girls and boys.
HPV is a very common sexually transmitted infection that usually causes no symptoms and goes away by itself but some types can cause genital warts or cancer.
The national HPV vaccination programme was introduced for girls in September 2008 and was extended to eligible boys in September 2019.
More information on HPV and genital warts is available on NHS.UK and GOV.UK.
