Land under environmental management
Results from surveys of land under environmental management.
The Survey of Land Under Environmental Management gathers data to assess the level of awareness of the Campaign for the Farmed Environment. It also aims to estimate the total areas of (non agri-environment scheme) land which are managed for conservation either as uncropped and/or under some other form of voluntary environmental management. The Campaign for the Farmed Environment and other leading farming organisations are working together to encourage farmers and land managers to voluntarily adopt important land management practices that will benefit the environment.
Details of the baseline survey conducted in 2008/09 and the first two monitoring surveys in 2009/10 and 2010/11 are available from the National Archive.
