Register of Ministers’ Gifts and Hospitality

The Ministerial Code requires the Cabinet Office to publish a monthly Register of Ministers’ Gifts and Hospitality. This page brings together the documents relating to that Register

The Ministerial Code requires the Cabinet Office to publish a monthly Register of Ministers’ Gifts and Hospitality including details of gifts received and given by ministers in their ministerial capacity valued at more than £140, and details of hospitality above de minimis levels received by ministers in their ministerial capacity. As outlined in the Code, the monthly Register includes more information about ministers’ hospitality to align more closely with the parliamentary registers: specifically, the nature and where possible the estimated value of the hospitality.

Publication Guidance

The Cabinet Office publishes guidance setting out the process that departments should follow to complete the publication of the Register of Ministers’ Gifts and Hospitality.

Register of Ministers’ Gifts and Hospitality

The Register details the gifts received and given and hospitality received by ministers of the Government.  Transparency data for gifts received and given and hospitality received by ministers of previous administrations is available on departmental web pages. Transparency data for ministers’ meetings and overseas travel is published quarterly by departments and is also available on departmental web pages.  The Cabinet Office has re-issued its publication guidance for ministers’ overseas travel and meetings.
