Ministry of Justice spend over £25,000: 2014
Guidance on Ministry of Justice and its associated arm's length bodies spending over £25,000 data for 2014.
All central government departments must publish monthly data of their spend transactions over £25,000 by the end of the following month.
HM Treasury has set out a format to ensure the data is consistent across government; this format is set out in the field definition guidance.
The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) was formed in May 2007 by joining the Department for Constitutional Affairs with parts of the Home Office, including the National Offender Management Service (NOMS). As a result, NOMS currently uses a separate finance system called Phoenix.
Over £25,000 transparency spend data are taken from MOJ Aramis finance system and the NOMS Phoenix finance system. Transparency data for arms length bodies (ALB) are included in either MOJ or NOMS datasets, or taken from their own accounting systems.
The data relate to accounts payable payment and credit note transactions for grants and procurement spend, recorded at the time the transaction was processed on Aramis, Phoenix or ALB accounting systems. The data excludes any subsequent journal transactions (for example to make corrections) and accounts receivable receipts.
We do not publish everything and HMT lists transactions not to be included in its Guidance on Data Inclusions and Redactions.
We are publishing the data in CSV format in monthly files for the various areas of MoJ as explained in the notes on data.
