Starter Homes Local Authority Funding Programme
The Starter Homes Local Authority Funding Programme is designed to accelerate the supply of brownfield land available for starter homes development.
This £10 million fund will help local authorities prepare vacant and underused brownfield land so that high-quality homes can be made available for first time buyers and contribute to government’s target of 200,000 starter homes over the course of this parliament.
Funding is being made on a grant funding non-recoverable basis and must be spent by March 2016 so that starter homes can be built in 2017 to 2018.
Bidding for Starter Homes Local Authority Funding Programme is now closed and allocations have been published.
Bids were assessed and prioritised against the criteria set out in the prospectus.
