State Pension underpayments: progress on cases
Collection of management information relating to the Department for Work and Pensions' LEAP exercise to correct underpayments of the State Pension.
In 2020, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) became aware of a number of individuals who had not had their State Pension increased, in accordance with the law, automatically when this should have occurred. This prompted the department to take action to investigate the extent of the problem.
These publications include information on the progress of the Legal Entitlements and Administrative Practice (LEAP) exercise to check and correct individual cases, and the amount of arrears repaid to date.
