This consultation closed at the end of January 2012 after receiving 230 responses. The government has set out their response to this and summarised the findings from the A14 Challenge.
Alongside this, we published the phase 2 reports for the A14 study, which sets out some interim conclusions and recommendations. These were followed up in phase 3 of the study.

The department is working with local authorities, industry and the public to improve the A14.
In December 2011, we launched the A14 Challenge, seeking views from all stakeholders on the best solutions to the issues on this road.
‘The A14 challenge: finding solutions together’ outlines the ideas suggested by stakeholders, and sets out how we are using these to develop solutions for the A14.
Consultation summary
The government is committed to improving travel conditions on the A14.
We have announced a £20 million programme of measures between Ellington and Fen Ditton that will improve the A14.
The programme will be started immediately, with schemes delivered over the next 2 years.
