Consultation description

We want to know what you think about plans to update some of the legislation associated with agricultural tenancies. We’re asking for views on the proposed changes including:

  • updating the rules on the repair and maintenance of fixed equipment to include items now in common use
  • making it clear who is responsible for what between landlords and tenants. This includes defining what is covered
  • changing how end of tenancy compensation is calculated, so the compensation better reflects the value of the improvement
  • expanding what an outgoing tenant may be compensated for
