Consultation description

We want to know what you think about the future of the autonomous tariff rate quota (ATQ) for sugar. This quota sets the volume of raw cane sugar that can enter the UK tariff free before the UK Global Tariff rate applies. In particular, we want to know:

  • your thoughts on whether the UK should have a sugar ATQ or not
  • what volume of an ATQ you would like to see, if at all
  • the effect of any sugar ATQ on your sector or business

Due to COVID-19, we are not able to provide a postal address to respond to this consultation.
