Detail of outcome
Following the public responses to this consultation we’ve published guidance for service providers and trustees or managers of occupational pension schemes on banning member-borne commission in automatic enrolment pension schemes.
The Occupational Pension Schemes (Charges and Governance) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 were laid in Parliament on 8 March 2016.
Original consultation
Consultation description
This is a consultation on draft regulations that the government plans to use to ban member-borne commission in occupational pension schemes – see Annex B of the consultation document. We would welcome views on whether these draft regulations meet the policy decisions set out in this paper.
This is also the government’s response to the earlier consultation Better workplace pensions: banning member-borne commission in occupational pension schemes (October 2015).
