Consultation description
The government seeks views on a proposed end date for all Child Support Agency (CSA) cases that still have liabilities.
The CSA case closure programme commenced in June 2014 following the introduction of a new statutory child maintenance scheme administered by the Child Maintenance Service (CMS).
In line with the current Ending Liability scheme, the CSA case closure programme must end the liabilities in existing CSA cases by 31 December 2017. The CMS are now proposing to amend the current transition period end date to 31 December 2018.
