Consultation description

We want to know what you think about the policies and proposed management measures set out in the Channel demersal non-quota species (NQS) fisheries management plan (FMP) for English waters.

The proposed FMP has been developed by Defra and the Marine Management Organisation (MMO), with support from a fishing industry Channel demersal NQS FMP working group. The plan aims to deliver sustainable management of specified Channel demersal NQS, driven by robust stock assessments and supported by consistent data collection and research programmes.

We are also seeking views on an environmental report, which describes the likely environmental impacts of the Channel demersal NQS FMP.
