Consultation description
We are setting out our vision for reform of children’s social care. The strategy is based on recommendations from 3 independent reviews.
We are seeking views on:
- support and protection for children and families
- support for kinship carers, and wider family networks
- reforms to the experience of being in care, including corporate parenting
- support for the workforce
- delivery and system reform
Children and young people are encouraged to consider the questions in our children and young people’s guide.
We are consulting separately on:
- a children’s social care national framework and dashboard
- proposals for the child and family social worker workforce
A British Sign Language (BSL), captioned and audio version of the executive summary of this strategy and consultation is available.
