The CMA has published updated guidance on its consumer powers.

Consultation description
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is inviting views on its updated draft guidance on its consumer powers.
The guidance:
- sets out how the CMA uses its consumer powers to address market wide consumer problems
- explains how it enforces consumer protection law and its investigatory enforcement powers
The CMA is interested to hear views on the clarity and detail of the draft guidance and whether it is helpful to have a single set of guidance which consolidates previous guidance.
The draft guidance is intended to update and replace the following:

The Office of Fair Trading’s enforcement of consumer protection legislation guidance (adopted by the CMA)
