Consultation description
We want to know what you think about the policies and proposed management measures set out in the proposed cockle fisheries management plan (FMP) for English waters.
Defra developed the proposed FMP in partnership with the Association of Inshore Fisheries Conservation Authorities (AIFCA). AIFCA is collaborating with the relevant Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authorities (IFCAs) and with other organisations and stakeholders with an interest in the fishery.
This FMP sets out plans for the long-term sustainable management of cockle stocks in English waters.
We are also seeking views on an environmental report, which describes the likely environmental impacts of the FMP.
