Consultation description

We want to know what you think about how biodiversity net gain (BNG) will work in practice. This consultation will set out our proposals of how BNG will be applied to Town and Country Planning Act development and, at a higher level, Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. Your responses will shape legislation, processes and guidance.

This will help ensure the requirement for mandatory BNG delivers positive outcomes for biodiversity, improves the process for developers, and creates better places for local communities.
