Consultation description

The purpose of the consultation is to gather views from interested parties on the form and nature of the proposed amendments to the CSCS.

This consultation is targeted at Civil Servants and other individuals in scope of the CSCS, employee representatives (Trade Unions) and other interested parties.

This consultation has been ongoing since 2017. A period of public consultation ran from 25 September 2017 and closed for responses at 11pm on 6 November 2017. The responses from this consultation are continuing to be analysed. On 15th August 2022, the Government published a supplementary consultation document to provide commentary on the consultation to date and set out the Government’s proposals in the current economic context, building on the consultation document published in 2017. The Government continues to consult with representative Trade Unions on making reforms to the CSCS.
