We have made amendments to the Supply Chain Plans we consulted on in March 2023, notably addressing the data collection burden of some of the newer questions.

As a result, we have now published final versions of:

  • the Supply Chain Plans for Allocation Round 6 of the CfD for onshore and offshore wind, Solar PV and floating offshore wind
  • the Supply Chain Plan guidance

The final versions of all the documents are available on the Contracts for Difference (CfD) Allocation Round 6: Supply Chain Plan questionnaire and guidance page.

We received 19 responses to this consultation:

  • 13 from developers of renewable generating stations
  • 3 from trade associations and bodies
  • 2 from suppliers
  • 1 from an individual

Summary

In preparation for Allocation Round 6 of the Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme, we're seeking views on amendments to the Supply Chain Plan questionnaires.

Consultation description

In this consultation, we invite views on:

  • the extent to which new questions support the Supply Chain Plan objectives
  • whether ‘collaboration’; ‘sustainability’ and ‘resilience’ are rewarded and incentivised appropriately in the questionnaire
  • the scoring and weighting attributed to questions
  • the new bespoke questionnaire for solar applicants with projects over 300MW
  • whether there are other questions that should be included in the questionnaire

  • the proposed updated Onshore / Offshore Wind Supply Chain Plan questionnaire
  • the updated Floating Offshore Wind Supply Chain Plan questionnaire (for projects below 300MW)
