At the Budget on 8 March, the Chancellor announced that the government would make available a discretionary fund of £300 million to support those businesses most affected by the revaluation.

This consultation paper seeks views on the:

  • allocation of resources to local authorities
  • arrangements for local authorities compensation
  • operation and conditions of discretionary relief scheme
