Consultation description
DECC has published the draft Renewables Obligation Order 2015 for a technical consultation. The changes in the draft legislation are intended to (i) consolidate and update the Renewables Obligation Order 2009 and (ii) introduce changes to biomass sustainability and reporting criteria and outstanding RO transition measures previously consulted on in 2013 and 2014. We intend to lay the draft Order in Parliament in Spring 2015 with a view, subject to parliamentary approval, to bringing the draft Order into force on 1 September 2015 (1 October 2015 for the changes to the biomass sustainability changes).
