Consultation description

The broad framework for energy supply company administration is set out in the Energy Act 2011, including powers conferred on the Secretary of State to modify gas and electricity licences for the purpose of introducing a cost recovery mechanism. The proposed licence changes will complete implementation of the measures.

The government has consulted on draft rules of procedures for energy supply company administration and will publish a response in 2013.
