Consultation description

A General Approval allows Network Rail and a train operating company to make specific changes to their track access contract without seeking approval from the Office of Rail and Road (ORR). It is not currently available to rail infrastructure managers (IMs) other than Network Rail.

ORR proposes to make the General Approval provision available to all IMs. It also proposes amendments to the General Approval to make it suitable for all.
