Summary

We're seeking evidence on biomethane plants, and views of the biomethane market outlook for the annual review of Green Gas Support Scheme tariffs.

We extended the closing date from 31 May to 5 June 2023.

This call for evidence seeks views and evidence from:

  • biomethane industry
  • investors
  • trade associations
  • supply chain

Your responses will:

  • inform the Green Gas Support Scheme’s 2023 annual tariff review
  • provide evidence for the re-running of the tariff-setting process
  • gather insight into the effectiveness of the scheme and its current tariff levels

The review can increase, decrease or hold tariffs, and ensures that they deliver benefits whilst ensuring value for money. The 2023 annual tariff review will be published by 1 September.
