Summary

We are seeking views on proposals for new statutory guidance for local authorities to improve access to social housing for members of the Armed Forces community.

Consultation description

The government is committed to ensuring that those who serve in the Armed Forces and their families, and those who have served in the past, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public services.

This consultation sets out proposals for new statutory guidance for local authorities to assist members of the Armed Forces, veterans, and their families, to access social housing.
