Compulsory Purchase Orders streamlining: delegated decisions and timescales for decision
This document provides a summary of responses to a targeted consultation with key stakeholders on proposals to streamline government processes for the confirmation of compulsory purchase orders. The consultation, which closed on 13 February 2017, concerned proposals to delegate decisions to inspectors and to introduce timescales for decisions. The document also sets out the government’s response to the consultation.

This document provides a summary of the responses to the technical consultation on improvements to compulsory purchase processes which closed on 9 June 2015. It also provides details of which proposals the government intends to take forward.
We have also published revised guidance on compulsory purchase and the Crichel Down Rules for the disposal of surplus land acquired by, or under the threat of, compulsion.

This consultation seeks views on a range of proposals aimed at making the compulsory purchase regime clearer, fairer and faster.
Alongside the consultation, we are publishing draft updated guidance on compulsory purchase and the Crichel Downs Rules for the disposal of surplus land acquired by, or under the threat of, compulsion.
