Original consultation
Consultation description
This consultation follows an earlier consultation the department undertook this year in which we sought feedback from local authorities, the maintenance sector and other key organisations with an interest.
It is important that we seek final views on our proposals and recognise that authorities are eager to learn what funding they will be receiving from April next year for local highways maintenance so they can plan their maintenance strategies accordingly.
We are hoping to be in a position to announce funding allocations later this year.
