Consultation description

It is vital that support is provided to the local Criminal Justice System (CJS) to drive improvements at a local level. We recognise that Local Criminal Justice Boards (LCJBs) are an important forum for organisations across the CJS to come together in partnership, to work in the common interest, on matters which span the whole CJS.

The Ministry of Justice is seeking evidence on LCJBs which will be considered, in conjunction with other ongoing work relating to LCJBs, when informing the future policy on the local criminal justice system.

The Ministry of Justice welcomes responses from all interested parties, to ensure that we build an inclusive and reflective understanding of the current LCJB landscape, the challenges they face and where they can best be supported.
