The government sought responses on the Local Media Action Plan, which set out how government would create the right conditions for local television to emerge in the UK.

This consultation ran from

Consultation description

The Local Media Action Plan set out how government would create the right conditions for local television to emerge in the UK.

The 140 responses are summarised in the consultation response document.

The responses included:

• expressions of interest in providing a network channel
• expressions of interest in providing local services
• expressions of interest in providing nations-based specific services
• comments on the local TV policy proposition
