Consultation description

This consultation involves the Department for Education’s proposals to make The Independent Educational Provision in England (Prohibition on Participation in Management) Regulations, affecting independent schools, including academies and free schools, in England.

The target date for the regulations to come into force is September 2014, subject to satisfactory completion of regulatory and parliamentary procedures.

The main objective is to make regulations under section 128 of the Education and Skills Act 2008.
