Detail of outcome

We received 6 responses to the proposed changes to the Lake District National Park Authority.

We received 20 responses to the proposed changes to the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority membership will increase to 25 members. The Lake District National Park Authority membership will remain as it is.

Consultation description

We want to know what you think about our proposal to increase the membership of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority by 3 members. We also want to know what you think about leaving the membership of the Lake District National Park Authority unchanged.

The Secretary of State has approved extensions to Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks which will take effect on 1 August 2016. We are required to consult upon and, if necessary following consultation, make amendments to the membership of each National Park Authority.
