This summary of responses to the Vnuk consultation shows:
- the majority of respondents expressed concerns about the Vnuk judgment
- that of the 4 policy options set out by the European Commission, the proposal to limit compulsory motor insurance to vehicles used ‘in traffic’ proved the most popular
- respondents tended to express similar concerns about both the comprehensive and amended directive options as those in the consultation document

Seeks views on options for amending domestic law on motor insurance in light of the judgment from the Court of Justice of the European Union in the case of Damijan Vnuk v Zavarovalnica Triglav d.d. (case C-162/13).
This consultation has been extended from the previous closing date of 31 March 2017 to 13 April 2017.
