Consultation description

We want to know what you think about the EC’s proposals for a multi-species management plan for demersal fish stocks and nephrops in the North Sea.

Demersal fish are those which live and feed close to or on the seabed like cod or haddock. Nephrops are a type of crustacean.

We will use your views to refine the UK government’s response. Our aim is to bring the biomass (i.e. the population) of fish stocks to sustainable levels and to protect the viability of our fishing industry.
