Read the full outcome
Detail of outcome
Based on the third edition of NDA’s Strategy, published in April 2016, this Business Plan sets out objectives and expected progress for all 17 of the NDA’s nuclear sites over the next 3 years, in line with the funding agreed with HM Treasury and Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.
Also included is a 20-year overview of forthcoming activities across 17 of the UK’s earliest nuclear sites.
Our core objective is to decommission these sites safely, securely, cost-effectively and in a manner that protects the environment.
The total planned expenditure for the financial year beginning April 2017 to financial year ending March 2018, is £3.24 billion, of which £2.36 billion will be funded by government and £0.88 billion by income from commercial operations.
