Consultation description

Ponteland has experienced flooding from the River Pont in previous years. In order to mitigate against flood risk in the area the Environment Agency maintains a range of assets in the area, such as flood walls, flood embankments and pumping stations.

As part of our on-going work, we are currently reviewing the condition of our assets and reassessing levels of flood risk in Ponteland to ensure the best possible level of flood risk mitigation for the town.

This consultation is being held to capture your thoughts on the options that we are currently considering.
