The government launched a consultation 10 April 2018. This ran for 8 weeks and closed on 5 June. We received 30 responses, representing a range of suppliers, industry bodies and procuring authorities. This document summarises the outcome of those responses and feedback received via consultation meetings

We are seeking views from suppliers to government, their representatives, public bodies and those involved in public procurement on proposals to take account of suppliers' approach to payment in their supply chain in major Government procurements, assessing whether they demonstrate a fair, effective and responsible approach towards this. This consultation closes at: 11.45pm on 5th June

The Government wishes to gather views on whether it would be appropriate to exclude suppliers from major government procurements if they cannot demonstrate a fair, effective and responsible approach to payment in their supply chain management.
