Consultation description

On 3 November 2014 the government and Greater Manchester concluded a devolution agreement which provided for an offer of powers and budgets from government on the basis that Greater Manchester will deliver certain reforms and measures.

This consultation seeks views on a draft Order which will make amendments to the Greater Manchester Combined Authority Order 2011 to provide for the creation of the 11th member of the Greater Manchester Combined Authority. As agreed in the devolution agreement, they will be known as the ‘interim mayor’.
