The Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Andrea Leadsom has accepted statutory undertakings from the parties involved in the proposed acquisition of Cobham PLC by AI Convoy Bidco Limited and that the acquisition will not therefore be referred to the Competition and Markets Authority for a further assessment.

Consultation description

The Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy is minded to accept legally binding undertakings offered in the proposed acquisition of Cobham, a UK defence company, by Advent International, a US private equity firm.

The draft undertakings are published in draft for consultation in accordance with the process set out in the Enterprise Act 2002. The Secretary of State will consider any representations made before making a decision about whether to accept the undertakings.
