Consultation description

As part of the wider programme of regulatory reform for independent schools, we are proposing to replace the Independent School Standards.

We’re seeking views on the new standards which are designed to raise standards across the independent schools sector in England. Changes to part 2, such as actively promoting fundamental British values, will also be reflected in updated guidance to maintained schools, which will be issued in September 2014.

Please respond to parts 2 and 4 by 10am on Monday 4 August 2014. For the remaining standards, please respond by 10am on Monday 18 August 2014.
