Original consultation
Consultation description
Having reviewed a number of sites across the country, we believe that the prison at HMP Gartree, near Market Harborough, would be an appropriate location for a new houseblock. Before we progress with these proposals, we want to engage with you and your local community to ensure your views are considered and to share with you the benefits that expansion within the existing prison grounds will bring to Harborough, including creating new and local employment opportunities. You can find out more information by reading the consultation document published on this page.
You can send us your views by email to gartreeconsultation@justice.gov.uk.
