Consultation description

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has launched a public consultation asking census users for their views on the topics that the 2021 Census questionnaire in England and Wales might cover. ONS is encouraging people to respond to their current proposals. Anyone can take part in this consultation and users’ feedback will inform further research, development of questions, and consultations.

Census statistics continue to help people and organisations across the private, public and voluntary sectors to make better decisions. However, society changes in the 10 years between each census and every census has to take account of changing user needs and changes in society. This is why ONS is asking census users what information they will need from the 2021 Census.
